Parenting while being Neurodiverse Aware
Ever wonder where that book on how to parent a neurodiverse child today is? This parent session will invite conversation about parenting, creating boundaries and expectations, and tips on how to support the productive struggle while being neurodiverse aware. Neurodiversity describes the idea that people experience and interact with the world around them in many ways; there is no one "right" way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences are not viewed as deficits. This parent session will highlight this movement and ways parents can support and advocate for their children while modeling and supporting young people as they face the societal challenges and nuances ahead of them.
